Ibis Recognition Award
post by Adam McMahon on 02/06/2018
The folks over at Donor Relations came
up with a unique way to encourage engagement within their
team. Ivette Mancha, director for University Advancement, created the concept of the Ibis Recognition Award: a vintage UM
hat that is passed to an outstanding employee.
The hat, which was
purchased on Ebay, serves as a fun token of the team's commitment to
employee engagement. So far, four employees have been awarded
with the hat, and a new awardee will be recognized soon!
How can your team show appreciation among team members? Perhaps your team could do something similar to the Ibis Recognition Award. You also might want to consider sending colleagues a ThankU card using the online tool developed by the Office of Institutional Culture. You can access the ThankU tool by going to this link.
